Fall Fun

Well, let's see if I can play a little catch up! Last weekend, Spicy Girl carved her pumpkin. She designed the face, and pulled all the goo out by herself. She was quite pleased with her jack-o-lantern. Those who know S.G., know that Halloween is not her favorite time of year. She gets very spooked by all the scary parts of Halloween. Walking through Walmart is difficult for her when they have the Halloween decorations out. I'm talking, mummies, witches and monsters. She hates when people put the really creepy stuff in their yards. So, I told her we could skip Halloween altogether this year. However, she decided that she wanted to carve a pumpkin, get a costume and try a few houses in our new neighborhood.

So, BatGirl went trick or treating with Daddy in our neighborhood...and had a great time. She was so excited that no one had scary decorations out.

On November 3, we celebrated Gotcha Day! 7 years ago this angel entered our lives! S.G. and I went to school for 1/2 day.

Then, we hit the bookfair!

After lunch at her favorite pizza place, we went for S.G.'s first real eye appointment. We knew we were headed down the "glasses" road. She had her eyes checked...and yes....she's getting glasses. She is so excited!

I had to throw this last picture in. This is S.G. doing her homework. Cooper hopped up there with her because he loves his girl. I thought this was such a cute picture.

Cute costume! And I'm quite impressed with SG's jack-o-lantern. Congratulations on your 7 yr Gotcha Day. We just celebrated 6 yrs. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. I can't wait to see SG in her glasses. I know she will look SO cute! We had DD's eyes checked last year and the dr. said we may be headed in that direction too. Braces however, are a definite...as soon as she's old enough. ugh!
