Our New Little Guy

This is one of my favorite pictures of the late Baby and Delilah. These are the two dogs Daddy Spice and I had for the majority of our marriage. As a matter of fact, the pomeranian, Baby, was a gift from D.S. on our 6 month dating anniversary. We had her for 14 years. Delilah was an English Bulldog that D.S. had always wanted. When together, we called them Beauty and the Beast. Delilah died when Spicy Girl was about 4 years old. Now S.G. is almost 7, and we decided it's high time our family had a new dog.

We didn't let S.G. know we were puppy shopping. This was a HUGE surprise for her. We decided we wanted another pomeranian because, well, they're awesome dogs, and because we wanted S.G. to have a puppy that she could carry around and cuddle with. We were looking online at several breeders, and found a family ( quite an AWESOME family) who had some pups for sale. They had some videos posted, and I saw this one little guy who reminded me so much of Baby. Thankfully, he was available. This is Spicy Girl the moment we surprised her with her new puppy.

She couldn't believe it. One of her first questions was, "Is he real?"

Needless to say, S.G. is in love. And so are we. What a sweet little angel this boy is. S.G. wants to name him, so we've been brainstorming names. We will let you know as soon as we've decided on one.
