(click on picture to enlarge)Thursday was my birthday. It was a GREAT day. We started the day swimming with friends...who made me cupcakes! It rained and rained, and the unusual temperature was 70 degrees, but there was no thunder or lightning, so the kids swam. We stayed out there about 3 hours, and the kids, with pruned hands, finally came out of the pool, and we went home.
That evening, we went to eat BBQ and then went to a baseball game, which Little B won tickets to. Fun, Fun, Fun!
Yesterday, I got a phone call from an Ace Hardware. One of my students entered my name into the "My Favorite Teacher" contest, and guess what? I won....a $50 gift certificate.
Oh, and I got my teacher contract yesterday!
It's been a GREAT week!!

That sounds like a pretty nice birthday. I'm glad you got a teaching contract. Here in Ga they're laying teachers off like crazy...500+ in our county. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the new house!
