Have you seen this movie yet? I know, it's about 3 years old. We just got around to watching it last night. I remember when it came out, everyone in the adoption community was talking about it. The story is about a little boy who was left at the steps of an orphanage as an infant. He grew up in the orphanage wanting so desperately to be adopted and part of a family. At a certain point in the story, he gives up on finding a family, and begins to search for his birth mother. When this movie came out, Little B was 4. I was hesitant for her to see it because I didn't feel like she was ready for the content. She's 7 now. She's been asking questions for about a year now, so we braved it, and watched the movie last night. Yes, it brought up some new questions; mostly about the time travel. At one point Little B asked why the mother left him at the steps of the orphanage, and why she didn't keep him.
The thing is, I think the movie affected Mr. B and I in a completely different way. Although, I think the adoption story was beautifully done, there was another message in the story. We are on the verge of moving into our new house. Like I've said many times before, these past 2+ years have been such a roller coaster. We have worked harder than we've ever had to work; only to feel at times like we were back-pedaling. Several months ago, our pastor did a sermon series called FORWARD.

After that series, Mr. B and I vowed to continue Moving Forward. At the very end of the movie, this quote from Walt Disney was on the screen:
We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things, because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
And then the words keep moving forward were highlighted.
Yep, there were tears.
This is a big week for us. After having our belongings in storage for 2 years, we are finally moving into our own home.
We're moving FORWARD!
