Field Trip to the Farm

Today, Spicy Girl went on her first field trip. She has been so excited; counting down the days for a month now. S.G.'s bedtime is strictly 8pm, sometimes 7:45pm; and she is asleep by 8:01pm. Not last night. S.G. was awake until 10pm. Argh!!
So, this morning, S.G. was up and ready for her first field trip and ride on a bus to the farm. Being a former teacher, and also growing up in this area, I have been to this farm many times. But it's been a while and there were so many new things. We had a blast!
Peacocks roam freely around the farm. This one was really putting on a show.

In the above picture, the girls were going through the Fairy Garden. All kinds of fairy statues were in the trees, on the fences and on the ground. The girls loved running through here.

One thing I remember from my field trip days was the anticipation for lunch. Kid's are ready to eat as soon as they get to their destination....even if it's 9am. The peacocks were not afraid of these wild kiddos. They just walked around watching the kids eat. S.G. was loving this peacock!

Spicy Girl and I looked for Peter Rabbit in this garden, but to no avail, he had already escaped.
What a fun day, and a great first field trip for Spicy Girl!
