4 Year Well Check

Although Spicy Girl turned 4 back in January, she's finally completely well for a well-check appointment. This is her reaction to the news. She knows she has to get shots, but I didn't tell her it was 4 ouchy shots. She is not a happy camper.
After getting her blood pressure taken, she had to give it a try herself. We had a very patient nurse.
This little sucker was "incentive" for S.G. to give us a urine sample. It took two trys, but we finally got it!!

Oh how terrible it is to hold your child down as they poke needles into each leg. This was not fun at all. S.G. was crying and trying with all her might to "get away!"
Her poor little legs are so sore!

Today was her choice for lunch, and of course we ended up at McDonald's. After some Motrin, she's feeling a bit better.

Cousin Sonja joined us to give S.G. a little love. Thank goodness that's all over with for a while.

Hooray- she survived. Shot time is no fun, I dread them too.

I feel ya, girlfriend. It's so hard when they know that you are holding them down for pain, but they don't understand the "it's for your own good" statement. {{{HUGS}}} to you and SG.

I am always choking back the tears when my smaller children have gotten shots. It's tough on the child and the parent!

Oh, poor Spicy Girl!
Looks like she handled it like a champ, though! And, rewarded with McDonald's? All's well that ends well!
Lotsa extra lovin' for her!!

Makes you just feel awful when you have to hold them down for shots. I'm glad it's over for her. Urine sample? DD just couldn't handle that part....sucker or no sucker. Hopefully, she won't need any more shots for quite awhile! See you tomorrow night.
